Our Light Weight Fill Systems, formerly known as Strata-Fill, are a line of dual-component polyurethane foam grouts that are used for a variety of applications, such as void filling, pipe abandonment, trench breakers, and cavity filling. Each batch goes through stringent testing and quality assurance standards to ensure reliability in the field.
Trained professionals design solutions using these systems in several ways. In all cases, the Light Weight Fill Systems line is a 1:1 ratio system that is most commonly installed using a dual-component proportioning system and an impingent gun. The systems are heated as they are processed through the proportioner to pre-determined temperatures in the range of 110° F - 140° F. While still in liquid form as the combined materials come out of the gun, they start to react to form a rigid solid polyurethane grout. The various systems in this line up have different reaction profiles and different densities. They are also available in both pour systems with long run times and a spray system that can be applied on vertical surfaces or used for trench breakers or pipe pillows.
The Light Weight Fill Systems polyurethane systems can fulfill a wide variety of geotechnical applications. They were specifically formulated for certain sectors and project types where large voids need to be filled with lightweight material. The spray system was designed initially for the Oil and Gas Industry to build Trench Breakers or Pipe Pillows, but has been used for so much more. Here are a few of the applications:
Our Light Weight Fill products are environmentally inert; once installed they will not leach any chemicals into the soil or groundwater. Most of the systems in this line are available upon request as NSF-61 Certified material.
Many of the Light Weight Fill Systems are hydrophobic or hydro-insensitive. This means that during installation, they will push water out of the way and not get diluted or affected by the presence of water.
Depending on your project's need, you may need faster or slower reactivity. The Light Weight Fill Systems line is able to fulfill your required time.
The Light Weight Fill Systems have a low density, offering excellent expansion.
